How it Works

Seeking support for your horse can feel vulnerable.

You may be unsure whether you’re overreacting.
You may feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice.
You may simply want clarity before making another change.

Here I walk you through exactly what to expect.

Step 1: Choose the Right Consultation

If you know what you’re looking for, you can select a specific consultation:

  • Hoof Evaluation

  • Equine Nutrition Consultation

  • Whole-Horse Wellness Consultation

  • Zoopharmacognosy Consultation

If you’re unsure, begin with the Whole-Horse Wellness Consultation. It allows us to zoom out before narrowing in.

Step 3: Evaluation & Assessment

I carefully review:

  • History

  • Management

  • Nutrition

  • Movement (if applicable)

  • Hoof balance (if applicable)

  • Environmental influences

This is not a surface-level overview. The goal is to identify patterns, root contributors, and gaps in care — not just symptoms.

Step 5: Implementation at Your Pace

You are never expected to change everything overnight.

We prioritise what matters most first.

Small, informed adjustments often create meaningful shifts.

Step 2: Booking & Intake

Once you book, you’ll receive:

  • A detailed intake form

  • Guidance on required photos and/or videos

  • Clear instructions on what to submit

This stage is important. The more context I have, the more precise and meaningful your evaluation will be.

There is no judgement in this process — only information gathering.

Step 4: Your Personalised Report

You will receive:

  • A structured, detailed written evaluation

  • Clear explanations (the why, not just the what)

  • Prioritised action steps

  • Practical adjustments that are realistic for your situation

Where appropriate, follow-up options are available.

The aim is clarity — not overwhelm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work internationally?

Yes. Many consultations are conducted remotely using detailed photo and video submissions.

What if my horse is currently shod?

That’s completely fine. Evaluations can still be performed. Recommendations are always discussed realistically and respectfully.

Do I need to change my farrier?

Not necessarily. The goal is collaboration, not conflict. Where adjustments are suggested, they are explained clearly so you can communicate confidently with your hoof care provider.

What if I’ve already tried barefoot and it didn’t work?

Often transitions fail due to missing pieces — nutrition, environment, trim strategy, or pacing. The evaluation process helps identify those gaps before attempting change again.

How long until I see results?

This depends entirely on your horse’s history, current condition, and the changes implemented. Some improvements are visible within weeks; structural change takes time.

Will I be judged for past decisions?

No.

Every owner makes decisions based on the information available to them at the time. This space is about forward movement, not criticism.

What if I can’t implement everything immediately?

That’s okay. We prioritise. Progress is built gradually.
